Pay for hosting with USDT — no card, no chargeback

The problem with paying for hosting in Indonesia

Credit cards are still the global default for SaaS billing, but they're not the default for a lot of our customers. A 3D-Secure flow that asks for your bank's OTP, plus a 2–4% international card fee on top, plus FX from IDR → USD at whatever rate your bank picks — it adds friction and quietly eats $5–7 out of every $100 spent on hosting.

For the team that prefers crypto, we ship two USDT lanes alongside QRIS at checkout: USDT on TRC20 and USDT on Plasma.

What you get

Pick your hosting plan, go to checkout, choose USDT TRC20 or USDT Plasma. The payment page shows:

• The exact USDT amount (matched 1:1 to your USD invoice — no spread)
• The destination wallet address
• A QR code to scan from your wallet app
• The network you must use (TRC20 or Plasma — sending on the wrong chain is a recovery ticket, not a self-service fix)

Pay from any wallet — TronLink, Trust Wallet, an exchange withdrawal, anywhere that supports TRC20 or Plasma. Click I Have Paid once the transaction is on-chain.

How we verify — the honest part

We don't auto-detect on-chain payments yet. After you mark paid, an admin opens the explorer for the destination wallet, finds your transaction by amount + timestamp, confirms it has enough confirmations, and flips the invoice to paid. Provisioning fires automatically from there.

In practice this is usually under a few hours during Asia/Jakarta business hours, longer overnight. We're explicit about this on the checkout page — fully automated USDT detection (Tron API / Plasma RPC polling) is on the roadmap, but it stays manual today to keep reconciliation honest and auditable while volume is still low.

If you need provisioning right now and can't wait, QRIS still works. It auto-settles via Midtrans in under a minute and provisioning kicks off within seconds of the webhook.

Why TRC20 and Plasma — not Ethereum

• TRC20. Most exchanges and wallets support it natively. Withdrawals from Binance / OKX / Bybit on TRC20 typically cost 1 USDT flat. Confirmations land in seconds.
• Plasma. Newer chain, lower fees on supported wallets. Useful if you already hold USDT on Plasma and don't want to bridge.

We don't support ERC20 (Ethereum mainnet). Gas fees swing too much; a $3 hosting payment shouldn't cost $4 in gas to send.

Why we chose this over Stripe / Paddle

Three reasons that mattered for us:

1. No chargeback risk. A crypto payment that confirms is final. We can plan server capacity against revenue that won't reverse three months later because a customer disputed.
2. Sovereignty. Stripe still doesn't operate in Indonesia for hosting-style businesses. Paddle and Lemonsqueezy work but tack another 5%+ on top of every invoice. USDT cuts the middle out.
3. Customer choice. A lot of our customers already get paid in USDT — freelancers, agencies, web3 builders. Letting them stay in stablecoin is one less FX hop they don't ask for.

Trade-offs we accept

• No instant settlement. QRIS wins this comparison flat out. Manual reconciliation is the cost of not depending on a payment processor.
• You pick the network. Send TRC20 funds to a Plasma address, or vice versa, and we can't auto-recover. We help via the support queue, but it's a hassle nobody wants.
• No gateway-driven refunds. If you need a refund, we send USDT back to your address. Slower than a card reversal — but final on both sides, which is the whole point.
